(Updated 11th July, 2021) Vietnam Airlines would like to update the regulations entry to Japan :
• From July 1st, 2021: regulations to stay in quarantine areas designated by authorities: reduced from 6 days to 3 days for people entering Japan from Vietnam.
• Those who are allowed to enter Japan:
o Japanese citizens.
o Foreigners with a residence card in Japan and allowed to return.
o Foreigners with valid visas (not including the refusal cases of visa that have been granted and the free visa category which is currently suspended).
o Person with OIAC/PIAC (Olympic/Paralympic Identity and Accreditation Card) or PVC (Pre-Valid Card) - as confirmed in his/her OIAC/PIAC.
Documents required:
• For Olympic participants:
o Must have OIAC/PIAC (Olympic/Paralympic Identity and Accreditation Card) or PVC (Pre-Valid Card).

(Updated 18th Jun, 2021) Vietnam Airlines would like to inform you about updated information on entry regulations to Japan as follows:
- Passengers must have a certificate of a Covid-19 test (negative) within 72 hours from hospitals approved by the Government of Vietnam providing RT-PCR (Reverse transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) testing services for people going abroad. The list of hospitals recommended to test for Covid-19 by the Japanese government can be found at the following link: https://www.vn.emb-japan.go.jp/itpr_ja/20210109PCR.html.
- Passengers arriving in Japan are required to declare their stay information through the JP government declaration website at the link:
- At the check-in counter: Passengers must present the QR code with ticket and travel documents.
- In addition, visitors from Vietnam must stay at a concentrated isolation point (specified by Japanese authorities) and must pass all checkpoints after 3 days and 6 days from the time of arrival. Those confirmed negative in these tests will be released from the centralized isolation point and continue to self-isolate and monitor at home for the next 14 days.

Please note: Passengers will be refused entry if they do not meet the conditions on entry documents issued by Japanese authorities.
